Just in time for Thanksgiving, we have a new interview to celebrate. Remember "Cindy" from SLEEPAWAY CAMP III? The lovely Kim Wall joins us on the website to talk camp and also fills us in on her new movie "Stephen King's THE MIST" which hits theaters this Thanksgiving. Read the interview here. This is just a "taste" of what's to come; an in-depth video interview with Kim is coming next year, so if you have any questions for her, feel free to email them to the website.

I received an email from Aaron at Deadpit Radio discussing a recent radio interview he did with SLEEEPAWAY 2 and 3 director Michael Simpson!

Jeff,

I just wanted to let you know that we here at Deadpit Radio recently did an audio interview with Michael A. Simpson, and it will be airing on our site tomorrow after 1:00 EST. In the interview, Michael talks about the casting of the films, the status of his 'Berserk' idea, and many other interesting factoids about the two films. The show can be downloaded or streamed from the site, and it will be available for several months in our archives after the first week. We would be thrilled if you could put a link up anywhere on your site.

Thanks for your time, and hope to hear from you.

Best,
Aaron

Well Hello CAAMMMPPERS!

As you can see, we've got a GIGANTIC UPDATE for you today, starting with this site revamp. Camp Superfan Tania has helped lessen the load by putting her designing talents to work so that I could work on editing all this new video content for you all to see. We went over a lot of ideas and layout schemes and came up with this all new look. All the original content is still there plus there's a whole campground full of new stuff for you to pitch a tent to, so let's get right to it...

The RETURN TO SLEEPAWAY CAMP section is now open. Here you get closer to the movie than ever before. New pages include:

  • RTSC Video Interviews - Join me on the set of the movie as I interview many members of the RETURN cast. Best of all, the interviews are all in video format.
  • Manabe Interactive - What better way to explore a campground than POV style? Here you can take an atmospheric video journey around the grounds (and water) of Camp Manabe!! What other horror movie series ever let you do this before?
  • RTSC FAQ's Here you will find answers to many of the most frequently asked questions about this movie.
  • RTSC PreProduction - Here you can read an in-depth article about the genesis of RETURN TO SLEEPAWAY CAMP - How it all began! And yes… a Post-Production section will eventually make it's way here too.
  • The new EXLUSIVE VIDEO section is where you will find exclusive video treasures from the world of SLEEPAWAY CAMP. Starting off with footage from THE SLEEPAWAY CAMP REUNION. You can watch everyone arrive at the New Yorker and get ready for the show! And if that isn't enough to satisfy your Camp cravings, watch FELISSA ROSE REENACT some of Angela's most memorable lines!
  • You can find some long overdue widescreen stills in the SLEEPAWAY CAMP III section.

Some of the INTERVIEWS have been embellished with brand new Video clips. Take a look around and see what you can find.

Festival Time! It's the Festival Debut for the gruesome Grandma's Sloppy Seconds at HORRORFEST in Denver, Colorado on April 20-22, 2007. Not only can you see Felissa Rose ("Angela") and Daryl Wilcher ("Riff" in Sleepaway III) back on the big screen, but Jonathan Tiersten ("RICKY" in Sleepaway Camp and Return To Sleepaway Camp) will be there to meet camp fanatics! Other horror sci-fi guests appearing at the show will be Erin Gray, who played Jason's sister in JASON GOES TO HELL: THE FINAL FRIDAY, Ray Park who played DARTH MAUL in STAR WARS EPISODE I, and Leonard Nimoy - MR SPOCK from the STAR TREK franchise!!!

Grandma weilds some Sloppy Seconds poster art. The chainsaw was out of gas.
Barbara "Grandma" O'Connor always in character. She may be eating popcorn now, but wait until you see what's in store for dessert!
Writer/Director Jeff Hayes and wife Cheryl in front of one of Jeff's inspirations: It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!
James P. O'Connor Jr. "Jimmy" arrives with a scream! He may be a ghost in the movie but here he's LIVE in the flesh!
Bad-boy John Crowley with Grandma's biggest challenge: Lynna "Gina" Premo
Laura Poirier arrives to see her big screen debut
Jeff Hayes with his heroine Lynna "Gina" Premo.
Matthew "Hess" Serafini arrives. For those of you wondering about his character's name, YES, it is an homage to one of his favorite horror character actors: David Hess.
Before the movie began, the audience was treated to a bunch of 80's horror/slasher movie trailers...setting the vibe for what was about to be unleashed.

And speaking of Camp Superfans, Check out KARA'S SLEEPAWAY TRIBUTE right here and Dylan's Sleepaway Camp song tribute right here

Oh, I've noticed an increase in juvenile e-mail lately trying to create a non-existent war between my site and sleepawaycampfilms. For those of you have have nothing better to do than send me ignorant and unmerited emails, there are websites better suited for your needs HERE... I don't work on this website to listen to goofballs blame me for the delay in RTSC's release. Those accusations are pure ignorance. I don't control the post production process. If you don't appreciate what we're offering you here, there is a whole galaxy of other websites you can haunt. As for the real fans, the hardcore fans, the die hards; thank you for your continued support of Sleepaway Camp! You are the ones that make doing this website worthwhile.

So, was that the biggest update ever or what? Wheww! Now maybe me and Tania can rest our fingers for a few days? I'm sure all the new content will keep you busy for a while. Sorry for the long delay, but as Aunt Martha always says: "Good things come to those who wait." And, oh yeah, there's more to come! Keep On Campin'!
